Restart Controller A controlled way to automatically restart your unattended Mac

Restart Controller is a Macintosh utility to restart Macintosh computers automatically controlling if condition indicated by the user to restart are satisfied. In this way the computer can run unattended and restart when requested. There are 3 condition the program can check: - Time interval. The computer restart only inside a specified time interval. - Critical applications. The computer restart only if application indicated by the user as critical are not running. - Internet connection. The computer can't restart if an internet connection is up and running. Combining these three condition as the user prefers is possible to automatize the moment the computer restart unattended. In this way a Mac server can be configured to run continuosly with an internet connection up. If the Internet connection drops the Mac will restart itself. If the Mac was properly configured to restart the connection at startup, the Mac will aquire the capability to restart and re-initialize all the settings by itself if something goes wrong and the connection drops. The user can launch a series of tasks when he leaves the Mac, as backups, network jobs, communication tasks or everything else. She / he can also use a utility to automatically launch tasks in the night, as for example our CronoTask. When all the tasks are completed, if the specified time range is reached the Mac will be immediately restarted by Restart Controller. It is also possible to configure the Mac to restart at a prefixed time with no other conditions, or at a prefixed time only if critical apps are not running or also if a internet connection is up or both the conditions and so on.. Is up to you ... Use your immagination! It is up to the user to define the condition under which Restart Controller restart the Mac. Setup is made using easy preferences dialogs. There are no code to write or macro language to learn. Just few buttons and check box to click. It's a Macintosh, isn't it? As in Mac Restart, Shutdown Controller and CronoTask also Restart Controller when it is in the background changes the time requested to the CPU to run, this not to hog your Mac and leave to servers all the power they need to carry their work. You need to set only one time the settings, Restart Controller will save them in the preferences, indicated critical applications included, ready to be used the next time
